This week we are in Tharaka Nithi county and visiting farmer Jane Muthoni.
Jane has 3 children, she is separated and is a single mother. She started off farming sorghum on half an acre on her parents farm, having taken inputs on loan. She has now grown to 51/2 acres. She has 2 dairy cows. She has gone through a whole bit of drama, with a cow she was sold to being told it was pregnant, asked for a drying off injection, the vet came and told her cow was not pregnant and is now kind of stuck as to what to do.. S She is really passionate and hard working.

- How you dry off your dairy cow in time and in the right way to avoid serious loss of either your cow or the calf.

- Best way to grow sorghum using conservation agriculture.
- How to protect yourself properly when spraying your crops.
