Welcome to Shamba Shape Up!
This week we are on the rocky hills of Vihiga in western Kenya and we are visiting farmer Celestine Busieka.
Celestine is a passionate and hardworking farmer who has taken over her parents’ farm and is running it on their behalf. Celestine’s parents finance the farm and she does the work but the pressure is on as she must ensure that she is able to recoup their investment and earn some money in the process. Her biggest challenge is finding markets for the produce she gets from both crops and livestock.
Let’s go and see how we can assist her to become a better farmer.

- A bean variety that has high production.
