Welcome to Shamba Shape Up!
This week we are kakamega in western kenya and we are visiting farmer Leah Atemi.
Leah has taken over from her parents on their shamba and wants to shake things up a bit by moving away from purely maize and trying a different way. Leah pushes her parents to try new ventures and will sometimes be cheeky about it to get her way- like buying the material to build a chicken shed when they were not sure and leaving it there until they decided to build it.
She delivers her products direct to consumers and markets through WhatsApp.
