Welcome to the 15th season of Shamba Shape Up!
This week we are in Bungoma town, Bungoma County. We are visiting a young farmer Didimus Wamwana.
Also, It’s all about entertainment and learning in our new drama segment!
Didmus is a young farmer who is making use of the family land. He gets support from his parents financial, when setting up or growing anything. He is really keen to dive it into a successful business and tries to learn as much as possible. He is very keen to get shaped up.
We are learning about:
- Soil Auger: A machine that a farmer can use for collecting soil samples, planting trees, digging holes for fencing. He can also use it as an income provider.
- We link farmer with a Farmer Service provider to teach him and help him set it up. We teach about service providers and service centers and what else they can offer a farmer.
- How we can know and keep our soils healthy.
