Welcome to the 15th season of Shamba Shape Up!
This week we are in West Ugenya in Siaya County. We are visiting farmer Eric “chopper” Onyango.
Eric or he is popularly known “chopper” is a young farmer and a boda rider. He is passionate about farming and more so trees. He has planted a lot of trees and has even earned money from the “my farm trees app”. He also would like to grow the other enterprises on his farm.
This week we learning about:
- How to boost Soil health for bigger harvest.
- A cool and easier way for digging holes for planting trees.
- How to earn money from planting trees.
- How composting saves you money, enriches your soil and grows nutritious crops for your house hold.
- How to plant and earn from Sunflower farming.
