This week we are in Kipipiri in Nyandarua county and visiting husband and wife Philip and Hellen Mwenja.
She started Agri business 10 years ago. She has two plots (one shared with the extended family and the other one she bought and now lives in on ¼ acre she has 200 hash avocado trees, cows, goats, sheep and a few chicken. She sells the Avocados in Nairobi and also locally. The challenge with the avocado trees is they abort when small. She has a water pan that irrigates the Napier grass.
We are learning about:
- Better ways to care for your Dairy Cow, Sheep and Goats.
- Grow healthy avocado trees.
- A smart, efficient way to pump water for irrigation.
