Welcome to Shamba Shape Up Uganda!

This 5-acre shamba, tucked away in the Nabwigulu village, in Kamuli district is run by 25 years old Lydia Namulondo. She lives here with her father and her siblings.

Farming is often viewed as an old person’s occupation but Lydia firmly believes it’s an excellent job for young people too.

She trained as teacher, and now moved into farming as business during the lock down. In fact, she often gives talks to school kids and her community about the benefits of shamba living.

Lydia now inherited the shamba – and with it – many problems!

And that’s where we come in.
