Today’s farmer is special, he is a testament to determination. Yes! With hard work we see him provide education to all his children. Out of 10 children 8 have managed to get university degrees, and the last two when back for holidays help him on the farm. It is always inspiring to see youth farmers.
Today we’re in Busoo Village, in Wakiso district and we’re visiting Musisi Daniel Sentamu a 57 yrs. old full-time farmer and lives on his one-and-a-half-acre. On his farm he has coffee, mangoes, Jackfruit, Pawpaw, cassava, sweet potatoes, beans, bananas, tomatoes, Sukuma, cows, pigs, local chicken “and others”.
We are learning about:
1. How we can use Black Soldier fly to turn organic waste into manure.
2. How to plant high yielding maize variety using climate smart farming methods.
3. Value addition: How to Add value to Mango and Coffee Plantation
